Adam has personally coached countless State, Regional and National Champions in the JO/DP program and has transitioned dozens of athletes from Level 10 and Elite to Division 1, 2 and 3 NCAA teams.
Adam has been active coaching FIG, USAG, AAU and NAIGC athletes for over 25 years.
His goal is to give each of his athletes every possible opportunity to safely reach their potential in the sport of Gymnastics.
Owner and Office Manager April Mitchell brings a special touch to Carolina Elite with years of background in Retail, Customer Service, and Banking and will always greet you with a smile.

Leah is currently a Diamond Gymnast in our High Level Group and coaches all levels of Rec Gymnastics and coaches our Bronze Competitive Team.

Coach Jerome is originally from New Bern, NC and retired from service in the US Navy. His daughter, Jaidyn currently competes for Talladega College on scholarship.

Siggy is an alumnist of our Competitive Team as well as our primary choreographer and has created floor routines used in Level 10, NCAA and International Elite Competition..

Co-Ed Ninja Classes
Ninja and Obstacle Course Training
Carolina Elite is the only gym in Eastern NC with a 14’ Warped Wall, Salmon Ladder, Cannonball Course, Trampoline, Trapeze, Quintuple steps and an In-Ground Loose-Foam Pit.
*Please note, Ninja Training is Obstacle Course and Agility Training; we are not a Martial Arts Facility.
Our Facility
Carolina Elite provides a full range of training equipment including the largest in-ground Loose-Foam Training Pit in Eastern NC, new AAI Regulation Spring Floor, new Gymnova Elite Uneven Bars, new 25’ Tumble Trak, 8 Regulation Length Balance Beams, climbing ropes and a full array of Rec gymnastics equipment.
Our in-ground pit is AAI's most modern design with covered 8"X8" cubes and is the only in-ground foam pit in Carteret County and all of the Crystal Coast. The pit is accessible from all 4 training apparatus as well as trampoline.
Our spacious parent observation area is temperature controlled and offers free wifi.

Erin was born and raised in Barbados and is currently training full time at Carolina Elite to represent Barbados internationally and will begin her College Gymnastics career in the fall of 2024.

Jaidyn is a 5-time Level 10 and has competed in both USA Gymnastics Hopes & Elite Programs, NGA, AAU as well as represented her family homeland Commonwealth of Dominica Internationally.
